Celebrating the natural beauty of rough gemstones, Barbora Rybarova creates desirable one-of-a-kind pieces and limited collections in silver and gold. Combining the fascinating textures of raw minerals with smooth brilliance of precious metals and cut gems Barbora designs contemporary jewels with a rustic feel. Selecting and finding a source of unique gemstones is an important part of her creative process. Through her designing and making process she strives to achieve a perfect harmony between stone, metal and human intervention. High craftsmanship and high end finish lie at the heart of each of her pieces which she creates in her studio in sunny Kent.
After graduating in Fine Art in 2009 at Central Saint Martins College in London, Barbora moved to South America for extensive period of time where she studied and worked alongside skilled jewellers. Here started her love for gems and jewellery making. After her return to London, Barbora continued her journey into jewellery world through self-education, often exploring and pushing the boundaries of traditional jewellery.
Barbora is also a passionate outdoor enthusiast and she is happiest being surrounded by rocky mountains, forrest and sea. This connection with nature transfers into her work.
